Butter Poached Radishes

  • 1 bunch radishes, ends trimmed and radishes halved
  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 bay leave
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • Optional garnish: chopped dill, Italian parsley, chives

Instructions

Instructions: 

  1. In a small pot, add water, butter, a bay leave, and salt. Heat on medium high until butter is completely melted.
  2. Turn heat to medium low and add radishes.
  3. Continue to cook until radishes are just barely fork tender. You are looking for an “al dente” finish, meaning the vegetable should still have some “snap” to it.
  4. Serve immediately.
