Freddy Guys Hazelnuts is a family fun orchard based out of Monmouth Oregon. All hazelnuts are grown, harvested, and packaged on the farm for peak quality and large kernels bringing a taste of Oregon Hazelnut into the kitchen.
Freddy Guys Orchard is an entire family affair, with Barb, Fritz and their children Toby, Joyce and Evan running the farm, along with all the grandparents, aunts and uncles chipping in during harvest season. They have a 60-arce orchard in Monmouth Oregon, in the Willamette Valley. Land stewardship is forefront in the farming practices, ensuring the land and soil is taken care of, in turn produces higher quality nuts. Freddy Guys wait for the hazelnuts to naturally drop from the tree before harvesting, cleaning and roasting. They use a small Italian batch roasting system on their farm. The small batches ensure the kernels are larger and every nut is evenly roasted through.
