Twin Brook Creamery raises purebred registered Jersey cows. Jerseys produce milk with a higher protein and butterfat content, greatly enhancing the flavor. Their heavy cream has a very off white color with a smooth and refreshing taste. If left to sit for a couple days will nicely separate in the container to cream on top and milk on the bottom because it is not homogenized.
Twin Brooks does not use commercial fertilizer or pesticides on our grass fields or pastures, so the feeds that they eat are as close to natural as we can provide them. And, they do not use synthetic hormones (such as RBST) that artificially stimulate growth or milk production, allowing the cows to have a happy, healthy life and the most natural milk a cow can produce.
